I’ll be discussing how creators can turn their personal experiences into valuable lessons.
How creators can turn their personal experiences into valuable lessons
Creators can turn their personal experiences into valuable lessons through many different ways. My most familiar are with sports, working jobs as an employee, suggested spiritual stories, and even extra curricular activities that challenged my intellect.
Sports: The Challenge That Pushes Our Physical Bodies
Sports are one of my favorite methods to reflect on and gather valuable lessons that stay with me to this very day. It’s one of the personal experiences that I was able to capitalize off of since a very young age. I was lucky enough to have father and mother figures before me who probably understood the value behind it. I’m sure that explains why they supported me through my career as an athlete too.
But sports teach us how to respond to different situations that’s not typically the norm, but we end up making it that way once we enter the working world without our athletic prowess being the thing that makes us relevant. You become a person that creates eventually. I just believe that sports makes us more creative in that aspect because of how much we had to think under pressure at many times. And that’s not even to mention if you’re like me in where you had to balance being a student-athlete. It’s choosing to pull double duty.
That might be something you need to have as a skill with your chosen career, but I don’t believe there’s many that think that way when they first get started in them. At the very least you learn to have fun, and find out what’s your definition of it.
Working jobs as an employee
Working jobs as an employee is another experience teacher for myself. This is something that actually is a little more empowering of a discussion topic than I would’ve expected, but it’s so true for me because of my emotional ties that’s worth having a job.
Being someone that consistently shares content online, I can safely and confidently admit that a good majority of my knowledge is from these working experiences I’ve had. My story includes being someone that worked several loose end jobs that don’t even coincide with my degree. When I get asked about why that’s the case, I don’t have the exact answer, but I’m always able to let the people who ask that I’m grateful for what I’ve learned about each job, regardless of how short lived most of them were.
Suggested Spiritual Stories
Spiritual stories are another way to learn from personal experiences. Stick with me here. I’m not saying that these are necessarily your stores. Maybe not even mine all the time, but for many that believe in sacred stories, they’re learning opportunities. That’s because if you believe in the stores as valid, they’re real life lessons.
Intellectually Challenging Extra Curricular Activities
Creators can turn their personal experiences into valuable lessons through intellectually challenging extra curriculars. This is the case because it’s yet another form of activity that teaches us how to get more out of ourselves.
It’s one of the rest that needs to be acknowledged because it has a unique flavor that’s different from the others. You don’t have to rely on your athleticism to succeed, it ideally could be a hobby that you’re putting independent time into which means you’re gonna also challenge yourself to learn something you don’t know already.
You’re gonna learn meta techniques that for sure will transfer over to the next generation. It can be a new world that develops into an even bigger and better one. You really have to discover what simple, yet effective lessons are to be learned with this activity though. Focusing your attention in this area becomes something that increases your value.
