Is dressing in what you want to wear disrespectful towards your partner?

Yeah, to some extent it is. Part of having a loving relationship is putting your partner first. And that’s actually being fairly generous. I’m only speaking from opinion but a good majority of your romantic partnership is doing things with them in mind. So with that point, anything that they wouldn’t appreciate is making a conscious effort to disrespect.
