It’s AJ, and this is my commercialized blog site, where I can share my lifestyle interests and provide thoughtful insights on topics worth discussing.

Being Selectively Social

I’ll be taking about being selectively social.

This wave of migration that I’m predicting to be happening thanks to the TikTok ban and CapCut deserves some attention. I never got the point of TikTok and would even admit I’d avoid it at times. As for CapCut I might’ve edited once or twice on the app but never felt the value for long term effects. There’s only 3 socials I see myself as needing because they serve me best.

What should you consider before choosing who you socialize (hang out) with?

Select people who believe in you.

That’s the best way to go about spending your time effectively every time.

These are the people that would clearly see the value in what you provide for a goal or mission.

Their talents would be considered finding diamonds in the rough to parallel it with a phrase.

Questions you may even wanna ask are if they bring parity to your operation.

Do they have ethics that align with your own?

These are just a couple of examples you can start with.

Quality over quantity

It’s the idea of choosing things that are high in quality and having it take priority over things in bulk.

It could be argued that it’s one of the beginning rules when talking business.

That can apply to both consumers and producers.

Products that’s delivered and have the longest life expectancy are cherished much more than the others that can be mass produced.

Look at people who have the talent of doing more with less.

If we apply it to money that proves to be highly valuable.

Let’s say someone started off with 100 thousand dollars but there’s another with 10 thousand.

The first only kept their money.

But the second grew it to the same amount that the first had.

What person would be able to individually bring more value to a team?

I’ll let you decide.

Choosing to respond on your terms

Being selectively social in the context of how I painted it is having an effective impact.

One of the most positive uses on socials is through answering questions.

I consider myself to be this type of person because I have preference in displaying my value.

In my younger years I would be notorious for making videos of all kinds of reasons.

That would’ve probably worked out pretty well in the beginning stages of YouTube and other video based social media sites.

Partially it’s because my school took pride in project based learning but I also genuinely enjoyed it.

Getting older however brought change in my preference.

It’s revealed my joy for writing effectively and creating artistic loops off stills.

I’m sharing hints at the apps I like without giving it all away if you couldn’t tell yet.

I’m aware enough though to realize that everybody on socials are doing what they can to monetize their social media.

I got mixed emotions when it comes to that though.

Don’t you think it dilutes a bit of the authenticity?

Maybe I’m over thinking it though.
