I Feel In An Exclusive Tier When It Comes To Writing Rap Music (5 Areas I’m Better Than Average At When It Comes To Rapping)

Let me have a moment to explain why I feel in an exclusive tier when it comes to writing rap music.

I Feel In An Exclusive Tier When It Comes To Writing Rap Music

  • My storytelling ability
  • There’s genuine messages that anybody can learn from
  • My ability to produce often
  • Keeping the same energy
  • Shift and bring different energy to topics in a graceful way

These are the reasons I feel so superior when it comes to making rap music.

Telling Stories Through Rap Music

There’s plenty of greats that were and are currently known for being able to tell detailed stories through rap.

When I say “plenty” it’s used loosely too.

Rap music’s been around since the 70s and would tell stories that listeners could picture up until different times.

Each era in hip hop would have its own moment where the artists were known for different things.

One of my favorite songs in where I tell a story is Now You Hurting.

Practical messages that actually teach

I take pride in being able to casually mention to anyone interested how I have music that people can learn with.

I’ve addressed topics that range from the following:

  • Finances
  • Perseverance
  • Dedication
  • General success

Even spiritual gifts are something I’ll occasionally rap about and if you take the time to reflect it gets even more clear.

Consistently Producing Bodies of Work

Another aspect that makes what I consider to do in the music space is the fact that I can consistently create.

I’m talking about real bars that can be produced in acapella format or my preferred method (with beats).

I’ve probably been creating new music every day for the last 28 days to be honest.

I don’t even see signs of it slowing down.

I’m not exactly sure what that means as far as a win-win relationship with me and supporters but give me the nod for creating.

I see being able to create as a gift and don’t plan on it only being a quick money grab – so every time I can I’m grateful to do it.

Keeping The Same Energy In Music

At first I wasn’t sure if it was a good thing to be known for having the same energy in music and concluded it is.

Only reason I second guessed it is because I can appreciate songs that send you through a roller coaster of emotions.

But I believe keeping the same energy works really well with mixtapes and complete bodies of work.

It’s definitely because I’m eager to get a full project out and see this as being an organic transition to making it happen well.

Some of my favorite projects keep the same energy consistently throughout the entire duration of everything.

It’ll be cool to do the same thing as I get better with my craft.

Shifting and Bringing New Topics To The Table

This is another part of being an elite emcee that I feel I’m bringing back.

There would be constant criticisms being made about artists not being able to rap about different things.

That’s not necessarily bad either.

There’s some who are 100% fine with rapping the same message and it’s okay.

As someone that likes to transcend constantly and raise the bar I see that as a challenge.

Rap itself has to change and cater to the consumer.

The cool thing is as a creative we also have a say-so in how we want things to sound.

We typically like things that others do.

So if it’s a sound that people around me like then there’s a good chance I’ll like it too.

It’s a collaborative effort that’s fun to match if you ask me.

You really know how to make somebody feel sure about what they say and I’m grateful for that.
