What to know when traveling to Europe (Ultimate Guide)

I’ll be explaining what to know when traveling to Europe.

I’ve never been to the continent myself but I feel fairly confident in saying that I’m somewhat familiar with their culture.

They’re an ally to the U.S. and have been for decades.

I’m excited to dive further into this topic so let’s get to it.

Why is it important to learn foreign languages?

It’s important to learn foreign languages because it brings about a better understanding when trying to communicate with the locals and other natives.

To add more it also teaches empathy which could be crucial when just trying to understand people better than what you already do.

It should go without saying but there’s also better communication that comes with expanding your vocabulary.

You’ll be more likely to spark up conversations with strangers.

You might network and push agendas that could only be completed with the assistance of new faces.

That actually pushes it forward to my other point of learning a new language can even take your career to new levels.

In a world that has industries trying to take things on a larger scale constantly language ends up being the common carrier for expansion.

Why is traveling light important?

There’s plenty of reasons why traveling light could be beneficial to the traveler that decides to do so.

For starters you get more freedom to travel.

This gives you options with your methods in ways such as flight, bus, car, bike the list goes on.

If we go in the direction of a flight it’ll definitely make things much easier if we were to stick with let’s say a single bag.

It makes TSA’s job easier with getting you checked in, you’ll find your luggage much faster and be more efficient with it.

And that could be a highly underrated benefit, not to mention there’s also an easier time to interact with other passengers and travelers that you meet along the way.

The baggage could easily be a transferred metaphor for how likely you are to be around others.

We’re not likely to be fun to interact with when we have a lot of baggage are we?

Why is it important to have a valid passport?

Having a passport proves to have numerous benefits that I’m gonna put a spotlight to.

For starters it verifies your identity and nationality.

Second is that it helps qualify you for a visa.

It also functions best as a proof of citizenship.

When you break it all down it ultimately works as being your ticket to the world!

What can foreigners do to understand european currency better?

To understand the currency better in Europe AKA the euro you’ll first have to resist the urge to buy currency before the trip.

Another trade that you might wanna even consider learning before your trips is the art of forex.

For those unaware it stands for foreign exchange and you’ll learn about simple supply and demand trading tactics in hopes of earning a profit.

It’s not necessarily for earning money if you apply it to this scenario rather than understanding which country’s currency is more valuable than the other.

One thing that you’ll learn inadvertently with practicing forex is that you’ll learn about countries that possibly benefit from the existence of the euro.

A few of my favorite pairs to watch are G/U and E/U when I’m looking at charts.

But let’s say you finally make it to your destination.

One of the best practices you could do is practice restraint by only using your card to get cash only in emergencies.

What is the best card for ATM withdrawal overseas?

There’s a few international banking cards that could be used pretty well, whether you’re traveling to Europe or from there.

A brief list of banking cards and complete banks are:

  • Revolut
  • Chime
  • Capital One
  • N26

Here’s a few of the best directions you could consider for international travels:

  • Google Fi’s Unlimited Data for 1
  • A few AT&T plans
