When I’m most happy (4 things I learned about myself)

I’ll be sharing when I’m most happy.

It’s yet another prompt that I was prompted to respond to.

I’ve been doing a few of these questions that I was encouraged to answer and shared my thoughts which can be found on my Q&A page.

When I’m most happy

Whenever I’m creating. Everything I’ve done on the expansion of this blog proved to myself that I’m good at creating. I’m testing theory I think’s a clever one. It’s applying this same enthusiasm to writing raps and graphic designing. I’m approaching 30 and I’m the happiest I’ve been since discovering this.

Does being creative make you happy

I decided to look further into my belief. And what I found seemed to support it. According to Forbes they make the claim that being creative is linked closely with art, wellbeing and happiness. I had to remove my initial thoughts of what I believed was creating. At first it included sculpting, chiseling, carving and anything to build. But the activity will always change, although there’s still similar traits of when someone’s creating. It’s always actively putting someone in a positive state while performing work.

Work with other creatives

Being with other creatives boosts your energy.

Yeah I said it.

Just being in their presence helps spark your own creativity and helps clarify what makes you unique.

It works in reverse too.

Being happy makes you more creative automatically.

That alone should be the reason you wanna make happiness priority.

Why does blogging look easy to do

It’s because it comes down to who’s more passionate about their work. I found my knack for making creative pieces whether it’s images I make, songs I record, or whatever. Blogging however is mainly text to get your point across. Call me a traditionalist in that sense but it seems simple enough to understand. Success in blogging is building an audience and serving them content consistently to their satisfaction.

Does writing 16 bars make you better at rapping

Personally I say it does if done consistently. My biggest part where I’ll get stuck is committing to a beat sometimes when I’m practicing. I can say I feel much more productive and better emotionally after it’s addressed in my first 16.

Why is being a graphic designer interesting?

There’s some pretty creative ways that you can express yourself through with graphic design work. There’s a level of narrative that you can control when you’re creating the visuals of a project.

What makes a person happier in life

Being happy with what you already have.

If you’re always in a state of wanting then you’ll never be in a fulfilled mindset. Sometimes I find myself where I have to do a self reminder that I have everything I’m meant to and it’s really helpful. If I get caught up in the trap of trying to compete all the time then I understand that I’ll never have an end goal.

There might be something behind the idea that Millennials (which I am myself) are entitled. However I digress. That might be more of a region type deal.

America is a capitalistic country. That means we’re shaped for doing business from the start. And with that can come the desire for wanting the best whenever possible.

“If we don’t get the best then it’s a failure.” That’s actually a trick though because if it’s earned then it’s deserved. Regardless of what one person has over the next it comes down to ambition.

Ambition conditions you to consistently pursue your goal and that’s when most are happy. The secret to containing it is having a “clock out” time when it comes to the work you put in. At the end of your project you should be satisfied with what you completed on the way to your goal.

Identify that your ultimate happiness is when you’re enjoying the current moment. It’s okay to be historical if it’s memories that serve you well. Even better if you can be future minded and think about where you’re going. But you’re at your absolute happiest if you’re enjoying what’s happening now. You’re actively controlling your reality.

Carpe diem people!

Final thoughts

Creating is top tier happiness because it’s love in action.

You’re enjoying whatever you’re doing while still working towards a final product.

I earn mine through blogging, rapping, and graphic designing.

Some people never discover what their real moment of happiness comes from unfortunately.

I’m approaching 30 years old and I feel more committed than ever to producing pieces that contribute to the craft of each art.

We’ll see where it goes.

Thanks for reading.
