I’ll be explaining why Yusuke is so strong.
Why is Yusuke so strong?
His training as a Spirit Detective and demon heritage. He was reborn as the Mazoku and given the ability to use the spirit gun. He’s undeniably strong but there’s fans all throughout the anime community that would even like to imagine what his power could do even against the likes of a Super Saiyan.
The Secrets About Yusuke’s Body
According to CBR there’s 5 secrets about Yusuke Urameshi that may be overlooked:
- He’s extraordinarily strong early in the series
- He’s smarter than he appears
- He came from Demons
- He has both spirit and demon energy
- His stamina is unusually high
His Strength
He has a spirit punch that amplifies his attacks to something that’s more than a normal human’s.
His Smarts
Hanging out in the streets and getting into so many fist fights can be a big reason as to why he’s so smart when it comes to combat.
Yusuke’s demon heritage
It’s revealed later in the series that Yusuke actually is the descendant of demons dating back generations ago.
His Spirit and Demon Energy
As you can probably put 2 and 2 together it’s probably easy to figure out his training with Genkai as a spirit detective and having the demon blood can contribute to his combination of spirit and demon energy.
His Stamina
Again, the Mazoku blood that runs through his vein can easily be the reason as to why he doesn’t get as tired as fast as what you would expect from an average fighter.
Could Yusuke Beat a Super Saiyan
I came across an interesting discussion that posed the question if Yusuke and his team could possibly beat a Saiyan invasion if it were to come his way.
If we’re comparing him to other anime characters I would say he’s easily underrated in terms of power, but the Dragonverse might have a power scale that’s a little higher than Yu Yu Hakusho’s.
At best I would say that he could handle a good majority of the fighters in the early sagas of DBZ and that’s where it would end.
He may have demon energy but I believe in God too and think God energy is stronger which could trump his best attacks.
He should be able to take out someone along the likes of Piccolo.
I actually like that matchup beat since he’s a demon king, and he loves to fight but when you add in Goku his passion for fighting is greater than his.
Conclusion
Yusuke is considered so strong because he has experience fighting as well as training as a spirit detective with the assistance of demon blood which only compounds his power.
He’s undeniably strong and should be considered as such, definitely one of the top tier fighters in all of Shonen.
