I’ll be answering why Kaiba likes Blue Eyes.
Kaiba’s the main opposition to Yugi in the original Yu-Gi-Oh series.
He’s introduced in the very first arc of the story and knew how rare the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card was when Yugi’s grandpa showed him that he owned one.
He actually obtains it after defeating his grandpa in a dual.
This particular dragon card is one of the strongest types in the entire game and builds combinations that make for strong combos.
But without further ado let’s get to the question.
Why Does Kaiba Like Blue Eyes
Kaiba chose the blue eyes because they have a reputation for being such a strong card.
They have numerous supporting cards, fusions, spells and even traps that help make it one of the strongest cards you can have.
When Kaiba noticed that Yugi’s grandpa owned such a rare card he knew he had to have it and set the tone for how far he was willing to go in order to obtain it.

Is Kaiba the only one with blue eyes?
Kaiba is the only person in the entire series with all 3 blue eyes.
There was 4 but after Kaiba ripped up Yugi’s grandpas card it left him with the only ones remaining.
He realized how powerful of a card it was and couldn’t stand the thought of anyone else sharing that power with him so that’s how he responded.
As the story progresses we find that there’s multiple versions of this archetype that leads to the likes of cards such as Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
The only other archetype (at least story wise) that goes on to match the rarity of this card would be possibly the Dark Magician.
Same as Blue-Eyes, Dark Magician has numerous supporting cards as well that help increase its power, but ask anyone that plays the game, Blue-Eyes is a highly respected and feared card with a legendary reputation.
Summary
Kaiba’s notoriously known for being associated with the Blue Eyes White Dragon.
It translates really well to the card game.
When you start off in Master Duel it’s one of the starter packs that you can select in the Power of The Dragon deck.
If you’re more into playing the official card game then you can grab the Kaiba Starter Deck which has the Blue-Eyes card on the cover of the box.
I recommend you grab this and follow it up with a dragon related booster box in order to beef up your blue eyes even more.
I’ve played a blue eyes deck before and experienced the frustration of being limited as far as options go when you’re facing an (even better than) average opponent.
Dragons in general are just made to be a very powerful card type that’s going to stay that way as we get better archetypes such as Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Armed Dragon.
