I’ll be answering why Baby took Vegeta’s body.
If you’re familiar with DragonBall GT then you’ll know who Baby is.
He’s one of the main villains of the show.
We’re talking about a complete menace here that was body snatching since the moment he was created.
This is definitely one of my favorite villains of the entire show and continued to up the ante in terms of posing a threat to our beloved heroes.
But as you can tell from the title he eventually takes over Vegeta’s body and causes the most terror Goku sees at this point in the show.
But let’s get to the question.
Why Did Baby Take Vegeta’s Body?
Baby decides to take over Vegeta’s body for this reason:
- He was a stronger host
This is easily Baby’s strongest form for his entire time during the show and that’s saying a lot considering that before he does this he took over Gohan and even Goten’s bodies as well.

A little birdie told me you want my thoughts on a moment involving Vegeta.
It actually goes back to Dragon Ball Z in the Cell Saga.
If we remember that moment correctly then memory reminds us that Future Trunks was killed in front of Vegeta.
It was a traumatic experience in where he shows some of the most meaningful emotions we’ve seen yet from him.
I was tweaking out because for some reason there was reason for me to second guess if he actually said “My Baby Boy”
And this clip is to blame.
So he doesn’t really say that and it was just a really funny voice over but eventually I might have to do a few cuz it’s convincing.
Something about that seems fake though to portray yourself as a stone cold savage and scream out that line when death comes.
Then again I never lost a son to an Android but he also is your future son so it shouldn’t hurt as much but I’ll digress again.
Conclusion
Baby was an amazing character in the GT series.
It’s easily a top 5 villain design in all of DragonBall and even helped further the potential of Saiyans with the golden ape form.
I remember first seeing him and thinking he was going to be a basic villain with a generic design inspired from super buu, but boy was I wrong!
If anything he showed what using your resources properly can get you and how far it can take you.
Of course we’re talking about a villain, there’s still makings of great ones that I can appreciate and Baby’s definitely one of them.
If we’re being honest then I’ll say his body snatching of Vegeta and how far he took it was even better than Majin Vegeta.
(And I liked that character a lot as well.)
