Why Is Elemental Hero Stratos Banned

There was a special combo that was exposed by other duelists dealing with the FTK/Harpie burn loop that would’ve made the Stratos card too powerful. After it was banned it stayed that way for over 5 years. On top of that it was also discovered to be too powerful of a support card for the other HERO monsters. As a form of retaliation for being fair to other types the OCG and TCG decided to ban the card.
