I’ll be answering if Krillin at the end of Dragon Ball Z was stronger than Goku was at the beginning of the series.
It’s a valid question considering Krilin seems to get left behind in terms of power after the Saiyan Saga.
Is Krillin at the end of DBZ stronger than Goku in the beginning?
Yes, Krillin had points where he was stronger than Goku. He had power that was greater than Goku’s when you compare where they were at in different parts of the Saiyan Saga. The facts from a power level scale had Goku with 416 at the beginning of the show and Krillin had a power level of 1770 at the end of the Saiyan Saga.
Saiyan Saga
The Saiyan Saga is what we start off with in DBZ.
It’s split in 2 parts, Raditz and Vegeta arcs.
From TV adaptation it’s the 1st through the 4th volumes of the manga and consists of 35 episodes in the anime.
The Raditz half is the story of when Saiyans (well at this point a single Saiyan) that invades Earth who claims to be Goku’s brother, Raditz.
The other involves another duo of Saiyans that come to Earth in search of the dragon balls, Vegeta and Nappa.
Final Thoughts
Krillin is actually one of the more forgettable characters for me in DBZ.
He has some good moments and his best are up to the Frieza Saga but this should be some interesting points that you experienced me make if you’re a fan of the show.
Krillin’s at some of his most interesting highs if you follow his training with Goku in Dragon Ball the original series.

Krillin has a flash attack that was used more in the Frieza Saga.
It’s an underrated move in terms of effectiveness.
Only time I would see it being useless is against an Android.
This was the move that I was introduced to as the solar flare.
Goku used it too against his foes in Burter and Jeice.
The enemies are getting stronger so it’s easy to see how such a move could become obsolete.
