  • What is the turning point in my life? (Explained)

I’d have to go with my earlier post with admitting that I finally hit rock bottom.

I’ve mentioned before about how it felt therapeutic in a way.

There’s something relieving in being able to say you finally can pinpoint a turning point in life.

    Don’t get me wrong.

I was in a position where my funding with the programs I was part of stop a while ago.

It was just until I decided to take my phone out and announce my intentions to sell my new shoes.

Because I decided to finally hit post and add it to my Instagram story, there wasn’t any turning back.

I let the world and everybody I held closest to me see.

That’s really where I was at and (still am) prepared to stand on what I said.

But let’s revisit it if need be:

What is the turning point in my life?

The turning point in my life was deciding to sell my best pair of sneakers. I needed money as far I could tell. My income got cut off and I was at the point where I wasn’t even sure what my next meal was gonna be.

Deciding to sell my best pair of sneakers

Nike Dunk Low Retros (Size 10) got announced for sale on my Instagram page.

I bought these shoes with every intention to wear them eventually.

I even had an unworn pair of socks that I planned on wearing with them to match my boo.

But on October 31st, 2025 I recorded a short clip that would change my life.

There was a level of vulnerability that I decided to share with the world in announcing I’m selling my shoes.

I put my face in the video (even recorded it twice), and hit upload after I thought it was somewhat decent.

I’m only talking about some shoes that cost $116.02 by the way.

How am I able to share the exact amount you might ask?

I even got the receipt for when I purchased them.

  • I officially hit rock bottom

I just offered a pair of sneakers up for sale on my Instagram.

Doesn’t get much lower than that right?

Sure I could make a quick $50 (and I say quickly very loosely) but at what cost?

I couldn’t picture myself being this strapped for cash at this point in my life.

There’s somebody (or even a group) somewhere that’s super happy I’m sharing this too.

But I’m sharing this moment because it’s therapeutic in a way.

I’d like to put it in a song, but now I’m getting my money’s worth for this domain name I purchased.

Let me share what I’ve learned up to this point:

Rock bottom for me means several different things

One of the lowest points for me is that moment I shared earlier with putting my sneakers up for sale.

Having to sell things you own for a living

You shouldn’t let yourself get put in so much of a bind to where you’re putting your belongings up for sale.

Obviously my most specific example are these sneakers I’m advertising.

I mean these were shoes I bought for myself earlier this year on my birthday.

It’s rock bottom because I shouldn’t be at this point where I’m letting go of shoes I genuinely like.

This type of person I am now is definitely someone I would’ve roasted in high school.

It’s disappointing at times, but (long term) I’m positive that I’ll be reflecting on this for the better.

The next thing that locks this moment as rock bottom in my life is even sharing this publicly.

Sharing things you would’ve kept private if you weren’t forced to report to desperate measures

Why am I even talking to you about this?

That’s partially a joke, but I realize there’s someone that could benefit from this honesty.

It might be better to see this as an opportunity to redefine the consequences of becoming desperate.

We’re taught it breeds contempt, but here I am hungrier than ever.

    It’s a bitter-sweet moment in reality.

I’ve been claiming to want change in my life, and this just might be the kind that’s best for me.

Another aspect that I see as rock bottom is the horrific experience of knowing you’re depressed.

Actively acknowledging you’re trying to rise from a depressing reality

I’m out of the moment of depression I woke up experiencing.

I’m grateful that I found a reserve in energy with taking steps to feel better.

I look at how I’m finding time to even compose this while I’m outside.

The walk itself is a great thing I’m able to squeeze in, but I’m not even focusing on the beautiful surroundings around me.

(And that’s for what?) The sake of content of course!

It’s doing its job though, because I feel much better than I did at sunrise.

This brings me to my next point in having to make sacrifices in things you’re usually used to having.

Making cutbacks in life’s areas that brought you happiness

I’m finding myself having to go without in parts of my life that I was able to afford.

I even scramble to just find enough for some enjoyable items at my local gas station.

Streaming services, site subscription packages, digital tools—the list goes on.

It’s tough to see me holding on to my AI tools that I’ve invested in these past few months.

I already lost a few but some are paid for until the next month.

Hopefully I’ll be able to keep my YouTube Premium, but time will tell what’s meant for me.

    Final Thoughts

I’m still in the rock bottom phase of my life.

That didn’t change much since the time it took to make this message, but not all’s lost.

I still got those shoes for sale that I mention (not sure how I feel about that yet, but it’s true).

I’m past that depressive moment I admitted.

My sharing of information that was once personal is being seen in a better light too.

Overall, I believe this post is gonna be a stepping stone to a much better life.

I’m grateful in being able to move from this onto the next thing that I believe in.

There’s still plenty for me to be optimistic about.

But this is what I needed to do.

Thanks if you made it this far.

I’ll see you on the next post!

  • What should be done if you feel any members of your community want to feel more understood? (Explained)

Let’s discuss what should be done in a community where you might be hip to the fact your members feel misunderstood for some reason.

This is group management at its finest when you break it down.

To take a step towards grasping this concept is to take accountability for the outcome of a program that you’re choosing to be apart of.

What should be done if you feel any members of your community want to feel more understood?

Consider hosting a team meeting of some sort if you want to better serve your community. They’ll for sure feel better understood as you learn more about the individual that makes up the entirety of the group. This form of management will ideally ensure your organization’s goals are aligned with the agenda of everyone else involved.

Better understanding the individual through team assembly

Team meetings is one of the most effective methods to facilitate the development and improvement in understanding when it comes to your community.

With these gatherings you’re able to focus your time, energy, and efforts towards things that improve both—the now, and later.

There’s more to serve your fellow members, but you’d be surprised with how far a simple conversation could go!

Immediately what comes to mind as far as benefits that could be reaped from this (or given out) is customizing the message to serve a specific individual or subgroup.

This becomes your opportunity to address areas of growth that’s needed to thrive.

There’s some level of awareness that’s present if you’re aware of members feeling a lack in some area.

That’s where your confidence can be present in addressing this situation.

You have to go in with a mindset that’s completely devoted to solving a problem, and it might not be one you even think is yours.

  • Something everyone should know

What’s something you believe everyone should know.

Everyone should know that wrestling is the most universal skill that anybody anywhere could and should learn. That may be a bit of a hot take but I truly do believe that! When you really dissect the science of what wrestling really is, you eventually understand that it’s an ongoing shift of power.

Wrestling is universal in global terms

Do your research and you should find that wrestling is the oldest sport in the world! It shouldn’t be a surprise that combat is a form of entertainment that could capture anyone’s attention.

It’s believed that man wrestled with other angels. Can you believe that? Even if you don’t, humor me. Wrestling is imposing your will on another person. It could catch your opponent off guard, or wear them down into submission.

Every country worldwide have an understanding of some sort as to the value and hopefully the importance of wrestling as a skill. Well maybe not South Korea, but I digress.

Regardless, the things needed to be successful in it is dependent on the greatest resources of any successful community. You have to be strong—mentally and physically, have counsel that can assist you with your growth, and overcome an obstacle to earn the wins that’s passed down in the sport.

  • How to create a wrestling character (Discussion)

    Listen up carefully folks.

This gonna be straight gold if you’re familiar with physical acting that’s got a dash of reality tv in it.

We’re gonna be discussing something that could’ve been done sooner, but here we are finally getting to it.

I’m talking about wrestling and what it takes to make a highly marketable.

How to create a wrestling character

Wrestling characters are born through a variety of factors that play into the final product. In my experience, I find that it happens through practice. From there the wrestler experiences adversity and successes that’s dependent on the mindset of the athlete. Also is that they have to be coachable in some capacity and take advice from counsel outside of their existing knowledge.

Embracing the growth that comes with practice

    “Practice makes perfect.”

That’s a saying that’s all too popular but I was told is incorrect from my first ever Spanish teacher Señor Bill (God Bless the dead).

He challenged my class to believe the saying “practice makes better.”

It makes all the sense of the world when you think of it. Practice isn’t everything, but it is a lot.

In most cases it prepares you for an event or competition that lasts for only a small part in comparison to the entire process.

There’s plenty of less pressures and such that goes into practicing.

That’s where you’re able to develop your tendencies, be a little more free, and come to grips with your style as a wrestler.

    The lesson adversity teaches us

Adversity is yet another aspect of wrestling that is valued.

I personally believe that it’s slept on because of our instant gratification culture.

We tend to not care much about what it takes to get our final product. Just the results.

But let’s keep the focus on the athlete this time around.

Athletes that deal with this aspect of wrestling have their personalities molded and eventually exposed.

Adversity teaches us the life philosophy that we’re told eventually, “life is (X)% of what happens to us and (X)% of how we respond.”

The character becomes defined when we find out what happens next in the story of the athlete in question.

It becomes the thing that helps die-hard fans appreciate the wrestler that much more.

Having ‘success’ function as the product of said wrestler

Success can be tricky to define. Especially when discussing such a personal sport.

Think about PRs you could earn in Track or golfing a personal best at your toughest course.

It’s what you decide to be is an impressive stat.

In the case of wrestling, success in many ways could be seen as the unmovable trait that makes the wrestler who they are.

It might be tough to define off text alone, but a successful wrestler can be a success story that just happens to do the sport.

If you go out to face an opponent, you’re already noticed.

At some point your personality shines and your audience begins to notice your reactions through wins and losses.

Your success shows through that reaction. Are you someone that loses their cool?

Can you remain optimistic in trying situations?

These are questions you could ask yourself and learn more about if you’re at least on the path to success as the season continues.

Taking advice and counsel outside of your already learned knowledge

Being able to take counsel outside of your own knowledge is just a spoken trait that’s not necessarily a rule, but it does define character.

It’s like that saying that goes, “you’re the sum of the people you hang around.”

Whoever’s in the corner of the wrestler that can sway their attention gets producing credits to the character of the wrestler that’s loved.

It actually makes the process of building yourself exciting and less predictable.

You’re not sure what you’re becoming, but you’re positive that the outcome’s gonna be favorable.

And we’re talking about wrestling here.

This advice that you’re gonna be getting and applying will affect several areas of your life.

Maybe it’s nutrition, spirituality, strength, technique—or whatever!

You do this in hopes of improving your character, and the process all becomes creation at that point
