How can someone identify which type of content performs best for their specific audience instead of just following general trends? (Discussion)

We’re gonna talk about how someone can identify what type of content performs best when crafting something that’s intentional.

This is different from just posting something and hoping that it sticks.

How to be more intentional with the content you post for your audience

To be more intentional with the content you post, you have to combine your data analysis, direct audience feedback, and behavioral insights.

Data Analysis

Data analysis is the data itself. It’s the contents of the information that follow what’s in front of you.

You are going to determine how legitimate and authentic everything is that’s in front of you.

This includes what’s being shared to you.

You’re ideally going to be able to control that.

It’s going to be critical that you are monitoring this and just refining it as you spend more time on the platform, because you’re going to be the sum of the people that you’re around.

So if your timeline is filled with a bunch of junk, there’s a good chance that you’re going to be providing the same thing.

All of this falls in line with some of the things that we’ve mentioned earlier when it comes to establishing what your niche is and your focus.

You’re going to be cross-checking a lot of this through the media that you consume off the platform as well too!

So this includes other articles you might read, or YouTube videos you might watch, or anything else that would support or go against the information that is in front of you when you are on the app.

This is being intentional Because you are ‘Trimming your tree’ for a lack of better term.

You’re going to continue to grow and build your following as well as be more interested in more people.

So as much as you would care about getting more followers, you’re also going to be following more people.

You’re going to expand your own knowledge from that, with the plethora of people that you’re going to be getting exposed to on the app.

But time is valuable.

So at this point in time, you’re gonna realize that you don’t want to waste any of it on things that just aren’t true or support your cause; anything that just goes against whatever your agenda is.

Choosing to get proficient in this area will be one of the 1st goals you’re going to want to make, And it’s going to stick with you!

So it’s always going to be of importance no matter what you’re doing!

Whether that’s making better content or increasing the production value of whatever it is you’re creating.

At this point, you’re going to be more mindful of the things, like the authenticity of what it is you’re saying, and the quality of it yourself.

You’re going to determine what it is that’s valued more.

Direct Audience Feedback

Direct audience feedback is a valuable asset to have as someone that would be on the Instagram platform.

When you’re approaching it from a marketing standpoint, this is going to be the telltale signs of how you’re doing.

There are different forms of feedback that you can get, And understanding which one serves you best PERSONALLY is going to be of high importance for you too.

You could be getting feedback from the DMs or the comments.

Sometimes it might even present itself in the form of the post itself, But understanding and being able to put that into context Helps you approach what you do moving forward much better.

An example would be when somebody leaves a comment: you have to realize that some of that is for display and entertainment as opposed to when you get a direct message, that might be a little more genuine in the sense that the conversation isn’t public.

But that’s where you have to be able to put some of the feedback you get into perspective and apply it appropriately.

So being able to understand that there’s different levels to the type of feedback you get will help you approach what should actually be done and what should be taken with a grain of salt.

Behavioral Insights

The behavioral insights would be the information you’re able to gather from what’s in front of you.

This includes the things that show on your timeline, and the stories that you view, or the lives that you join.

Even the DMs that you get!

But determining the information that’s most valuable, Typically falls under a few different categories.

You don’t have to be proficient in all of them, just the ones that benefit you most.

But if you were to go there, you can see that there is even a dashboard you can monitor, which will tell you things from the view counts that you gather, the type of interactions you get, the amount of followers you get, the content that you yourself share, and even how many of them are from different accounts.
