Why do people think Instagram is a useless app?

We need to discuss why there’s people that think Instagram’s a useless app.

This isn’t me bashing the app in any way. I’m simply drawing attention to it.

There might be something behind this real perception that some people have with the site.

We’re gonna discuss this and see what it’s about.

Why People Think Instagram is a Useless App

Some people think Instagram is a useless app because it can be tough to get engagement. Add in the fact that in comparison to Pinterest, it’s actually less useful than what many considered the site to be, if used to become a visual search engine.

Instagram can be a tough app to get engagement on

Instagram can be a tough app to get engagement on Because people struggle with creating shareable and save worthy content.

These are actually the best type of content pieces because They do 2 things.

When you share content that’s on the platform, Instagram, It: communicates to everybody that is registered to be on the app that there are interesting things here.

It’s spreading the good news in many ways, And The saving part of it Assures that you will return back to the app.

That is a highly valuable thing to ensure, and guarantees returning business in a way.

Some of the specific elements that actually make these posts feel they get the same type of engagement (From more of a viewer’s perspective) could be creating Something that’s best seen on the app.

And it can be something as nuanced as the format of a reel that’s seen.

If it shows up really well on the Instagram app, then it’s very likely to be shared at least within the app, and maybe even other platforms as well.

But the save worthy aspect is something that could be applicable to other apps as well.

And that’s the value part of what a well-performing piece of content on Instagram would be.

If it’s valuable, somebody’s going to want to save it.

It would be, (to be put as a simile) like, ‘Finding a dollar on the floor and picking it up to put it in your pocket’.

You’re going to save this because you’ve seen something that was valuable and worth your time.

There’s something with creators that can create strong content and immediately prove that they can interact with their audience who ultimately see better results over people who just post and leave because there becomes a human element that gets introduced.

This shows that whoever is creating also wants to speak about the thing that they made.

They’re willing to engage with the people that they are looking to speak with as well.

In comparison to Pinterest, Instagram isn’t the better visual search engine

When you break down what Pinterest and Instagram are, (mainly for Most, if not all) signs point to Pinterest being the better option in terms of it as a visual Attraction for anybody that cares for aesthetics.

The intent of the users that search between the 2 share similar desires, Although many would also argue that Instagram’s objectives have changed since it was 1st created.

Generally speaking, you count on both of them to deliver visually pleasing content.

Pinterest, however, is a little better of an option when you consider the visual possibilities you can deliver through that app.

The pins you create on Pinterest, as opposed to posts on IG could potentially hold more content in each pin.

That accounts for the specific literal size of each content piece!

Pinterest as a whole can hold more value potentially in each piece of content over Instagram without having to scroll left or right to see more information.

That impacts the engagement aspect because it asks less from the user on that app.

They’re not going to have to swipe to see anything extra or do anything more than what it is that they’re going to get right in front of them with a pin.

But understanding the difference between discovery-based and engagement-based platforms changes the way someone creates and distributes content because your expectations will be different.

And with that becomes something where your Motivation will be lasting much longer in theory.

If you understand that a discovery based platform is something that favors someone who intends to just post and leave, it serves you better in the future.

That could be much different of a deal than being disappointed that something that you post on Instagram barely gets any likes or comments or anything like that, because nobody really trusts you yet on that app most likely.

They’re both visual, but there’s typically different expectations out of those visuals.

The visual aspect that someone’s looking for on Instagram is usually something that they’re looking for from people that they are already aware of when dealing with that app.

Pinterest however, is where a lot more people discover and find people that they weren’t aware of before getting on that app.

And that’s on the daily.
