What do you think is Jelly Roll’s favorite genre: rap, rock, country, or pop? (Revealed)

I’ll be sharing what I think is Jelly Roll’s favorite genre.

What do you think is Jelly Roll’s favorite genre: rap, rock, country, or pop?

Country Rap has to be the sweet spot.

Country Rap compliments Jelly Roll

Just off memory I could easily make the argument Country Rap best defines the spot in music that Jelly Roll’s in when he debuted on Carter 6.

That alone could justify him having the capability of collaborating with hip hop artists.

He clearly has a sound that’s rooted in country, sonically.

But he’s not too timid to work with street artists. That’s where I’d feel best claiming country rap.

It’s not like when Nelly made that song with Florida Georgia Line or Luke Bryan working with Quavo (even though that’s more ambitious along these lines too)— Jelly Roll’s more consistent in this area of music.

Final thoughts

It’s likely that the foundation is country but there’s a strong association with rap.

All of the signs lately point in that direction.

Safely using process of elimination only leaves me with country and rap.

He’s in a pocket that comfortably compliments both of those genres.

I’m not 100% sure that’s the case, but I’d argue that it’s at least somewhere in the ballpark.

His style is even closer on the scale of hip hop instead of country.

That’s where he might’ve found an even balance between the 2.
