My answer is no. While Salesforce may be one of the more visible names making headlines for AI-related layoffs, it’s not the only company that will be affected. The reality is that AI will ripple across multiple industries, and the impact won’t always be in the form of outright job cuts—it will often be a shift in responsibilities and how roles are structured.
Take fast food chains like Popeyes and related restaurants, for example. They’re already experimenting with AI-driven kiosks, automated fry stations, and delivery optimizations. While some positions may shrink, there’s still a need for human oversight, customer service, and managerial roles to ensure operations run smoothly.
From my perspective as The Professional Freedom Expert, I believe this evolution actually proves that human positions can continue to thrive even in an AI-heavy environment. Workers who adapt, reskill, and position themselves around creativity, strategy, or human connection will continue to be relevant.
It’s also worth noting that not everyone will cheer this AI movement forward. Tons of cynical conspiracy theorists already view AI as a threat to workers and society. Their pushback will be one of AI’s biggest “enemies,” slowing its adoption in certain spaces and ensuring that human labor still has a role.
The bigger story is about shifts, not elimination. Traditional roles will transform—whether that means customer-facing workers in restaurants focusing more on experience, or sales professionals pivoting from data entry to strategic analysis. AI isn’t replacing humanity—it’s forcing the workforce to adapt, and coexistence will be the long-term outcome.
