Why are Influencers a thing (Explained)

You might be asking why do social media influencers even exist?

Why are Influencers a thing

Influencers are a thing because of the value they bring, regardless of the market. They’re usually dedicated to whatever cause they’re campaigning for. It’s grown to a level where many are even more aware of their benefit, especially thanks to Fyre Festival. They have an ability to leverage social media platforms.

What are the elements of relevance in influencer marketing?

The elements of relevance in terms of influencer marketing is how well a few things align with the entity’s goals:

  • Content
  • Niche expertise
  • Audience
  • Values

Those are all what’s taken into account when selecting a rep.

How do influencers describe their experience?

Off the bat I can say that the expectations are almost never what you anticipate them to be.

Many would tell you it’s a mix of excitement, pressure, and personal growth.

I can confidently confirm those claims too. It’s actually pretty scary when you think about it:

You’re forced to lead your own life and grow based on areas of development you need addressed before reaching the “next level.”

You get tons of criticism about whatever it is you choose to do, whenever you do it too.

Fyre Festival

Fyre Festival is one of the strongest examples of what make influencers so relevant in a while.

If you haven’t heard of it then check out any documentary you could find on it, there’s a few.

What makes their story even possible is because of influencers.

Just to give you an idea, this story ends up with over $100 million looking to be claimed.

And to think it’s mainly because of the efforts from around 400 influencers.

They have to be good for something then, wouldn’t you say?

Dedication to the industry

Influencers are some of the most dedicated people you will ever find.

I call them inevitable pros because they waste no time putting in their 10,000 hours.

They don’t really take breaks from what they do, constantly doing what they can to be progressive in their industry, and are genuinely interested in what they talk about.

That might sound like a given, but it’s not something that should be taken for granted.

In fact, that should explain why they’re seen as so valuable too.

What they do demonstrates nothing short of commitment, resilience, and a genuine desire to contribute to the success and advancement of the industry.

Final thoughts

Influencers are a thing because of the value they bring.

They’re known for being highly dedicated to whatever industry they’re apart of.

Again, look at whatever you could find on the Fyre Festival and tell me otherwise.

They’re great at painting a very good picture of the lifestyle, and that makes them even more relevant.
