How Deforestation is Threatening the Future of Orangutans

Deforestation directly destroys their habitat. It forces them into areas with increased human conflict and making them vulnerable to illegal logging and poaching. It’s most commonly done through burning sessions. They kill thousands of them a year. Because of this it forces them to face a potential extinction crisis.

Final Thoughts

Deforestation is the main cause of orangutans losing their homes and ultimately their lives. Fires are the main culprit but when these animals get turned with no where to go it leaves them to be hunted.
