Why do some families not get together as often even if they live close by?

It could be something as menial as a time constraint.

Maybe even an uncomfortable relationship lies in between members.

Or they could just not like each other.

Some might not care to be in a social setting with their relatives.

And a rare occasion but still real possibility is an unequal social status could separate.

Time constraints

You ever had to miss out on something because there wasn’t enough time?

Uncomfortable relationships

It’s not uncommon to miss out on an event because you don’t feel comfortable with that crowd.

Lack of interest for one family over the other

Sometimes we just don’t have much in common with the people we’re around.

Dislike among members

It could be tough to stomach but there’s family members that don’t enjoy each other’s company.

Unequal social status

This is more of a universal scenario that most deal with when it comes to acquaintance.

If there’s not much in common with each other then nobody’s looking forward to hanging out.
