Why do I have no motivation? (Explained)

I’ll be explaining why there’s moments we don’t have motivation.

Why do I have no motivation?

I haven’t been feeling this way lately.

But it’s a very real reality for most people.

And I’d be lying to say I’ve never experienced those moments.

But a good majority of people who feel they don’t have motivation is dealing with a mental disorder.

The mentality of the unmotivated

When I recall personal moments where I was in a state of being unmotivated there were predictable patterns I was facing.

I didn’t have much focus.

Whenever I was involved in any activity there wasn’t much passion or thought put into the action.

I was all over the place.

And because of that I wouldn’t be very committed to the groups I would serve.

There wasn’t any structure to what I was doing.

Every day that would pass would be doing whatever just happens to pop up.

It was a lack of discipline really.

Because of that I had unrealistic goals.

Whether it was something I didn’t believe I could do or the people around me was the same outcome.

It would set me up for disappointment because I would constantly fall short of expectations.

It was tough to focus.

It would show in my studies and sometimes in sports.

There were times when I would even ask if I could get written prescriptions for medicine to help.

It’s a dark place when you can’t concentrate on a single thought for a reasonable amount of time.

It will even lead the moments of doubt.

Specifically with myself.

Confidence just wouldn’t show in areas it mattered the most.

That doesn’t make for being a good teammate.

It would be like being that trash player in a video game that nobody would ever wanna pick.

I was Yamcha in every video game made for Dragon Ball Z.

It’s a real problem when the mind plays a dominant role in getting you to believe your area is the cause.

There’s truth in that sentiment at times but it doesn’t support a healthy and unmovable mindset.

It may be cliche to revisit this saying but life really is what you make it.

That includes the people around you as well.
