I’ll be discussing why I think everyone is becoming a Life Coach.
This pin I came across on Pinterest made me think even more on the subject.
There’s several benefits that come with being a life coach.
The reward seems to come from watching other people change their life as a result being from your advice.
Let’s get into the question for further details though.
Why is everyone becoming a Life Coach?
A Life Coach is a deceivingly attractive career.
It’s perceived as a flexible career path with the potential for high earnings.
A great option for someone that wants to serve others on a much more personal level.
The problem with the profession is that it could get oversaturated with people that don’t know what they’re talking about.
Why people become life coaches
People become coaches to achieve personal growth too.
If done ideally it becomes a mutual serving of personal development on both ends.
There’s changes in thinking that have to be done.
Maybe physical alterations or things similar.
With that comes a growth that becomes mandatory for athletes and coaches.
The expectations that come with being one become easier to manage.
You begin to understand that the growth of your mentee is dependent on your growth as an individual.
How should I know if being a coach is my calling?
If serving others is something you enjoy.
Keen to believe in the optimistic improvement of everybody on your team.
Be faithful in the creativity of your fellow man through growth and development opportunities.
Being able to believe in the impossible.
And valuing moments that create a meaningful life.
Why are there so many coaches?
There’s a constant demand for personal growth and development in life at all ages.
Once you begin starting a reputation for producing other success stories starting a coaching business becomes easier.
This lifestyle becomes attractive to the casual go-getter.
What makes a job attractive?
- Leadership
- Flexibility
- Recognition
- Communication
- Advancement opportunities
These are a few of the best qualities that I’d argue any person could sharpen from a job.
If you could master the tactical approach at incorporating and utilizing these scenarios you’re gonna make it.
They’re transferable and even are indicators to show you what to expect or demand from a reputable program.
Money is an obvious Low Hanging Fruit.
And to be honest it’s cheap.
When you get to the point where you care more about the way you spend your time independently it makes a difference.
Suddenly you’re no longer caring about the payout as much the legacy.
You’re gonna be more interested in how this could be spread and make others around you better people.
How does flexibility help a person become a better employee?
Flexibility has to be doubled down because of how much of a golden carrot it appears to be.
It’s believed by many to allow whoever has it to adapt to changing situations.
They’re able to take on several tasks and learn new skills because of it.
And maybe most important is that they’ll be available to adjust for new priorities if need be.
It has to be stressed that it’s a luxury that has to be forced before it becomes natural.
In the early stages of proving yourself to be a capable team member involves having flexibility that wasn’t there before.
It’s an intangible factor that really becomes a decision.
You’re gonna have to choose to be able to handle all responsibilities that get asked of you.
Sometimes you’re gonna be lacking in resources or tools.
But simply finding a way to get the goal accomplished proves your capability of having options.
Most people have enjoyable flexibility because they first went through an uncomfortable period of forced flexing.
Why is serving others the best motivation for leadership
Serving others gives you a sense of purpose that’s above whatever personal goals you may have.
It builds trust and earns respect with whatever team you’re on.
It’s a well known secret that it helps those who do it reach their full potential.
Wouldn’t you do something that makes your work environment feel more positive and allows growth to happen?
It’s the ultimate recipe for great team and individual success.
Final thoughts
So if you’re asking yourself if you should even become a life coach just ask yourself if you’re willing.
It’s an attractive career with plenty of responsibility behind it that’s not talked about nearly as often as it should.
There’s a flexibility you need to have often in places where it’s not at before you have it authentically.
You’re agreeing to provide personal services that will help change everyone’s life you talk to.
