I’ll be explaining the career path for a Personal Trainer.
What is the career path for a Personal Trainer?
Part of your career path when it comes to being a Personal Trainer involves being able to detach. Specifically removing yourself from whatever your client is looking to achieve. It takes helping your client see the luxury that’s achieved with buying into your program. You’re gonna have to harvest an attitude of generosity. Your goal is to earn the right of having earned influence. And develop an appreciation for the person you’re servicing.
The ability to detach
Being able to detach from things can be tough to do.
It can be physical or emotional.
It’s in human nature to continually want to be apart of something that gives us a good feeling but when it goes away what’s next?
You’re left with nostalgia.
There’s so much vulnerability that goes into building a connection.
It’s an investment that sometimes doesn’t have a return.
That can be painful.
Learn from that personality because it’s mine.
If you’re a personal trainer there’s gonna be clients you have that you can’t afford to get too attached to.
That can be from the lens of prospecting or even secured business.
If anything I advise you to fall in love with genuinely providing value to whoever you’re interacting with.
It lasts longer.

Seeing where the grass is greener

As a Personal Trainer one of your goals is to help your client see the light at the end of the tunnel.
If they were more forward minded with their thinking they probably wouldn’t need you as much.
You’re likely to find that they’re consumed in the past or even The Now.
One’s better than the other but you’re the forward minded thinking person here so that’s your value.
They’re looking to achieve a specific goal and they believe you’re going to take them there.
So part of your job is to constantly remind them of what’s attainable.
Generously show them everything that comes with achieving their goal.
Maybe it’s a longer life from having a healthier lifestyle.
It could be a happier lifestyle just from securing a seal of some sort.
Even more money.
You’re gonna want to help them picture that finish line as much as possible.
An Attitude of Generosity

Being a personal trainer also involves being a generous person.
You have to become more invested in the spirit of providing value instead of the person at face value.
To clarify I mean if you’re more focused on giving tools that help everyone in their niche reach the same goal then everything else plays out how it’s supposed to.
This relates to the detachment point in not being overly invested in the individual because it’s essentially an entire market you’re trying to service.
It’s a mindset you’re looking to shape in embodying the character of giving.
You’re not trying to communicate you’re solely trying to earn a dollar out of them but rather contribute to the spirit of what they’re working on achieving.
Influential status

One of your goals that you should be looking to achieve is influence.
It provides status that validates you for future projects.
That comes with helping to build another person or group.
Not just handing out a final product and telling someone to go on about their life.
When you’re influential that opens and secures an agreement of being someone that’s always sought after when it’s time to make a decision.
There’s several nuances that go into being somebody of influence.
Sometimes it’s bettering their marketing campaigns.
It could developing a stronger brand image.
The directions it could go is astounding.
Appreciating your client

Developing an appreciation for your client could be considered going the extra mile.
It would be safe to have this fall in the category of maintaining business.
I believe your appreciation is truly earned only after you serve your clientele first.
This is where you get a chance to be proud of the work you put in.
You’re noticing the ways your client’s life is being changed.
This puts your relationship status with clientele appropriately personal.
They turn into a professional family in a way.
