Romance Movies often portray love. They show the process of making a connection. The endings are always on a happy note. Fans of them agree they evoke positive emotions and provide a sense of hope. Ultimately they offer escapism from everyday life.

One thing that Romantic Movies do well is build a solid connection.

They present us with a likable protagonist and typically have them start from ground zero.

The focus is on the main character and usually on how they come up with effective ways to serenade their interest.

Sometimes it works in reverse too.

Escapism

Romantic movies are iconic in being an effective form of escapism.

It paints life in a very safe and hopeful light.

Romance is idealistic in nature.

A phenomena that has the right things fall in place for a win-win relationship.

Scripts for romantic films have things fall in place strategically and at the right time by design.

The imagery almost feels like a color.

Something close to a red or pink variety and has a feeling that’s very warm.

When the movie ends it’s time to continue life and then we’re reminded something.

The world isn’t exactly perfect but these movies are what makes watching them an escape.
