This is gonna help you figure out when it’s best to remove yourself from a situation. Whether it’s physically or emotionally. Temporarily or indefinitely. This can be something that ends up being the answer to a situation you’ve been looking for a solution to. And it’s inspired from content piece I made earlier.
When to remove yourself from a situation
Maybe you’re feeling sick as a dog and you don’t want anybody else to suffer.
Some would say that’s a great reason to pass on the next event or leave the function everyone’s already enjoying.
But let’s say it’s an emotional scenario instead.
You’re picking up on a situation that’s getting ready to escalate and you want no parts of it.
That’s a great time too.
The point is to have a proactive approach in using your best judgement to avoid bad situations.
My coping method to do this is by minding my own business as best I can.
The challenge comes from allowing clear distractions to take priority over what you really want.
It’s not easy by any means but it’s a benefit your future self will thank you 1000 times over for.
Closing one door for another opportunity
What this means to me is stepping away from something you’re used to for another thing that’s better.
There’s a saying that roughly goes if you continue to do the same thing then you will continue to get the same results.
For some people that’s exactly what they want and that’s fine.
But there’s also others out there that want more for themselves.
They just can’t seem to figure out a lane that takes them to where they’re trying to go.
I can’t assure you that my way is 100% the best option but there’s a point we have to agree in finding opportunity comes through seeking it.
That means it takes a level of humility in admitting your way of doing things isn’t working.
Then you have to accept there’s someone else that’s able to get you to wherever “there” is.
It’ll include doing whatever necessary to continue working with that person or their team.
