Weight loss lowers your risk of diseases:
- Heart disease
- Diabetes
- Certain cancers
The benefits continue:
- Improved mobility
- Boosted energy levels
- Enhanced sleep quality
- Reduced stress on joints
- Better mood and self-esteem
My favorite perk through it all though is self-confidence.
What I do to keep low belly fat
I learn something new about the heart every day.
Whether I intend to or not.
It helps that I was involved in combat sports that would also require an attention to nutrition.
I’ve done karate and a little taekwondo but the most meaningful sport I was part of is wrestling.

To keep things focused on wrestling there was a test that all athletes would have to be involved with called BMI.
This would specifically focus on the body fat each wrestler would have and determine what’s the lowest weight class they can go.
There’s a level of vulnerability that I’ll be sharing in admitting that I was one of the few who thought a lower weight class guaranteed success.
I will share the bright side of things in revealing that it challenged me to find healthier foods to enjoy.
