I’ll be sharing my response on why poetry’s hard to understand most of the time.
It’s a form of communication that I feel most people in tune with care about.
So why not discuss it a bit?
Why is poetry often hard to understand?
Poetry uses language in metaphors. Sometimes imagery. Even allusions. It makes readers interpret meaning beyond words at their surface level. It mainly relies on personal experiences and references to the author’s culture to fully get the message. Most people don’t even know how to express themselves effectively so understanding another person ends up being too much.

Speaking through metaphors
Metaphors are a way to convey ideas.
At least speaking through them.
They involve using cryptic language that traditionally compares two or more things that aren’t alike.
Imagery paints the bigger picture

Whether you’re starting off from a tiny pixel to a billboard sized production doesn’t matter.
It’s an optical illusion that actually sticks if you ask me.
Sometimes it comes from a single word.
Maybe a zoomed in section of another picture.
The key to effectively painting imagery in these scenarios is through imagination.
There’s another scenario in where the picture is taken at face value and it’s the author’s job to catch every detail in place of the photo.
