What’s the story of how Twitter got started at Odeo?
Twitter originated at Odeo. A podcasting company. And when Jack Dorsey who was an engineer at the company came up with the idea for a new communication platform it was born.
Early Twitter
Seeing Twitter become what it is now from where it was is a real journey of growth in action.
It’s been personal too.
They’re one of the most independent platforms available and appears to be the least stagnant compared to the others.
It’s a double edged sword in some ways because of the negativity on there and mindless banter at times.
But if you’re progressing and stay self-aware then it won’t be an issue.

The First Tweet
It’s interesting in reflection because it was a mix of a casual life moment and massively important launch.
Selfishly I would love to have that type of detachment Dorsey seemed to have while being on Twitter.
I’m doing better with confidence when it comes to my original creations but there’s a lesson to learn here.
What I got out of it is how strategic planning can lead to a life of wealth and legacy.
The Bot Problem
The problem on Twitter that all other platforms share too is authenticity.
That can be a problem because genuine impact and real relationships could be of concern.
Nobody wants to invest time in anything less than authentic.
Everybody wants meaningful communication and perspective while they’re sharing on these sites.
Under New Management With Less Employees
Since Twitter was acquired by their newest CEO it seems to be in the best hands they’ve been in yet.
You’re only as good as your leader and when their track records show they’re capable of growing business their engagement is advice.
Following their digital footprints become the steps for success.
The lesson then becomes prioritizing preparation and following it up with leading by example.
Only then will financial stability come through the relationships you build and effectiveness of your communication with these people.
