We might need to finally add more emphasis on proper flexing etiquette for abundance of better terms.

When I think of a flex it’s something that shows off the work you put in towards a certain area of your life.
That may be the definition already but this is my attempt at defining it without asking anybody for validation.
But when we apply it to one that’s worth bragging about it’s a different mission.
It should be in areas that humans absolutely need to begin with: health – wealth – love – happiness
That might not necessarily need to be in that order but it’s a great start.
There’s also sub categories that we can break down to add even more clarity.
The personality trait that’s known to brag
I’m coming forward with enlightening you who’s reading this on something about my very own MBTI personality.
Now this isn’t 100% because there’s always a chance that the test could say that I’m something else another day – but I consistently get an E type.
I specifically get ENFJ on average but it’s important that I’m sharing this because we are known to be the type to brag.
I’m willing to chalk a majority of it up to having an extroverted personality.
It makes all of the sense in the world to me and it also should to anyone else that takes only a moment to think.
To some degree I feel that having the desire to wanna express eventually will call for having to brag about something.
You’re sharing and at some point it’s going to call for social proof.
If Bragging and Flexing is the same thing
Bragging and flexing are two completely separate things if we break it down.
A brag usually involves words and isn’t nearly as long lived when compared to a flex.
Flexing could be done with or without words.
It’s more of a complete package if you ask me.
When I think of a flex it’s usually an accomplishment that speaks for itself.
A flex doesn’t need much explanation because it’s something that’s understandably desired.
Brags need more context and pleading for its case when it comes to being relevant – there’s not a sure thing it’s valuable among everybody.
What bragging says about a person
Bragging doesn’t say as much about the person as much it does about the thing being bragged about.
It could be a hit or miss to be honest.
If the person pleads their case for why what they’re bragging about is worth mentioning and the person or people they’re speaking to understands – job well done
Not everybody is gonna get why something is being bragged about and if the person doing it communicates effectively then it wins over a new fan.
It really comes down to the ambassador and how they represent the brag worthy topic.
If you’re likable then people don’t need to start off knowing what you’re talking about and they’ll grow to appreciate it eventually.
