One of my best things I have going for myself at this point in my life is having self confidence going for myself.

That can’t and shouldn’t be confused with cockiness.
The most appropriate phrase that I got having come to mind with this statement is “I got me”
That wouldn’t be possible if I didn’t take care of myself enough and put in enough work to believe that.
Whenever I decide to participate in anything that has competition I like to think I’m competitive because of those reasons.
I’m the person who goes to practice and at least early on in the beginning stages put the best practices as priority first.
That’s self-care at its finest and shows respect to the craft in the highest degree.
The foundation of self-care
The foundation of self-care is interest.
Interest in what you may ask – and to that I say for yourself or at least your fellow man
Things change when there’s finally somebody else that you want to see do well.
There’s actually a fairly popular picture that floats around from time to time and it shows one person made of flowers watering another.
As a result they both grow and the same thing applies to this situation.
Self care ends up being a byproduct of caring for anything else that needs maintenance.
It could be an animal or even a literal plant to make it even more simplistic.
The main reason that self-care gets neglected
Self-Care may be neglected for a variety of reasons…
I find the majority of cases end up being from a case of misery loves company.
We as humans naturally care about fulfilling our absolute needs: food – water – clothing – shelter – etc.
Not everybody gets these needs met and as a result they’ll put others down whether it’s intentional or unintentionally.
Caring for yourself mainly comes from confidence.
That confidence can come from knowing you can fulfill those needs.
After you do it once it’ll happen again and it becomes habit.
If someone throws your ability to care for yourself off it can lead to where all of those things that help you feel good work in reverse.
You won’t believe that you’re worthy for things you absolutely need.
It’s a trap that can be tough to get out of.
Another word to sum it up is called depression.
Being unmovable from a biblical perspective
Being someone that grew up in a church setting for most of their life it gave me the opportunity to learn core beliefs.
There’s a few instances in where being unmovable is mentioned but if I had to choose a word that would be synonymous with it on a deeper level it’s faith.
Having faith roots whoever has it in a place that those who don’t have it can’t understand.
There’s several stories in the Bible that supports the concept of where faith is unexplainable but works miracles.
In those same stories it took having a level of discipline that was vastly different from everybody else’s.
