I’ll be discussing why Gotenks has ghosts.
Why Does Gotenks Have Ghosts?
Gotenks has ghosts because it’s most likely a move Goten and Trunks came up with together. They’re made to function as sentient ghost bombs. It’s a distant attack that keeps his enemies far enough away to where they can’t too close. It works by spitting out a ki bubble that forms into his image or whoever has the same technique. In Xenoverse 2 it only blocks his front view and has a flaw that could be exploited from their limited movement.
Gotenks FAQ
Why was Gotenks fat?

Gotenks was created in response to the powerful Majin Buu.
It was shown that fusion was a technique that needed a balance to pull off effectively.
He could end up either really skinny or outrageously fat.
But he was fat as a result of the Fusion Dance going wrong.
Probably because Trunks stretches his finger at the moment he and Goten say “-sion!”
Akira Toriyama himself confirms that he’s still Gotenks when we first see him in the manga.
And with that point I’ll add that even fat doesn’t mean he’s completely useless because he even broke Cell Max’s skull.
His fat version could kick everyone ass reading this.
