Why is a man taking pictures of my house? (4 Reasons Explained)

I’ll be talking about a few of the possible reasons a man could be taking pictures of your house.

Taking pictures are cool and all but what if you look out your window and see someone taking pictures of your own house?

We’re gonna explore the possible reasons for why that is.

Why is a man taking pictures of my house?

A person could be taking photos because they’re a burglar scouting the area or just have a job in photography that pays for it. There’s also the chance that it’s a real estate agent taking pictures of a house going up for sale. Them or even an insurance agent.

Burglars Choosing Homes

I’ll never forget the first time I ever had a home burglarized.

My $2000 laptop got stolen and some jewelry.

Luckily insurance covered everything but I didn’t see it coming whatsoever.

The point is they had to be staking out taking pictures with either a camera or their own eyes to know when to strike.

It’s a common tactic in war or a game involving wits.

Paid photography jobs

I personally think it’s because of the wave of photography based jobs that are growing to be more popular as freelancing gets bigger.

You can find them almost anywhere on the internet it seems.

Most of the jobs involve a scavenger hunt if you want to look at it in a creative lens.

It’s probably rare to get an assignment that involves taking pictures of another house but it is possible.

Photography for Real Estate

They say pictures are worth a thousand words.

What if the shot could earn you thousands of dollars though?

You’re gonna do whatever you need to for the best photo.

Here’s a start.

As is the case with most things rewriting high quality media it’ll start with having a somewhat decent camera.

When you’re talking about capturing the beauty of an entire home that takes patience and sometimes creativity like none other.

But if you don’t know why someone’s taking pics in this case then something’s wrong because they’re selling your house.

You better find out why.

Insurance Companies Taking Pictures of Homes

I don’t know much about the industry but did you know there was a time I earned a license in selling life insurance?

It took a little extra research to figure out but I learned something about insurance companies in general.

They take pictures to verify that your property is still in the condition that it was in when you were agreed to be covered.

Final thoughts

Here’s the possible reasons for why somebody’s taking pictures of your house again:

  • A burglar’s planning on robbing you
  • It could be a paid photography job
  • A real estate agent might be getting ready to sell your home
  • An insurance agent might be taking pictures for comparisons of conditions

Photography in general is a side hustle that could easily be a business venture depending on how much you like doing it.
