Fire your own boss
I’m so grateful to say I don’t have a boss anymore.
Wealthy Affiliate was and IS the security I’ve been looking for when it comes to leading my own life WITHOUT being micromanaged.
Free to Work
There’s flaws in the traditional job system that immediately pop out to me.
One of the most obvious is not having the ability to clock in whenever you want.
I didn’t really like the thought of having to punch in but I accepted that the work I do is 100% dependent on me.
And that’s when things changed.

Unlimited earning potential
Not having a cap on the amount of money you earn sounds good to me.
And chances are if you’re on here then you agree too.
I didn’t even think that was possible until midway through college.

Creative control
I’m gonna share a personal comparison that helps me put creative control in perspective.
I look at why I choose to rap and there’s a level of creative control that makes it easy to see why it’s so attractive.
It’s not perfect all the time though.
Even when there’s plenty that’s in your hands you’ll find out quickly that there’s other things that’s not.
I wanna be someone that’s inspiring others to think and not just the guy that controls everything.
Automated Work
- Technology
- Delegation
- Social Media
- A.I.
Those are what I like to call the millennial 4 rules of automation.
If you wanna be able to hang in self employment with what’s best seen as a mix of modern and traditional autonomy LEARN IT.

Pursuing your passion
It may sound cliche to say but having the opportunity to pursue your passion is priceless.
One of the bases that the WA community is based off of is building a business around your passion and hobbies.

Sense of Ownership
You can tell from my conversation that I’m confident and I give credit to my assets.
That’s a thing you own that fully benefits you by the way.
I got proof of items that benefits numerous areas of my life:
- Health
- Songs
- Website

Making Traditional Education Irrelevant
If you’ve paid attention to previous clues I dropped about my generation then you’ll probably know I’m a millennial.
It’s a bitter-sweet honor because we midway through school were sold the idea of finishing it to be successful.
The twist came seeing people reach our definition of success without going through the higher levels of education to do it.

More time for family
Most people that do anything in pursuit of happiness or even money is commonly motivated by family.
Being tied down to a traditional job limits the time you get with them.
It could be even worse when you’re self-employed.
Having all of your business’ progress being dependent on you could and most of the time does mean you’re gonna work harder.
That’s more than an employee that gets overtime.
Even business owners.
The more time you’re spending on your business is less moments you get with family in recreation.
Your business should be seen as going to the gym.
It’s good to spend time there but it shouldn’t take up all of it.

Workplace Flexibility

One of the greatest benefits in working for yourself is being able to call the shots on how work gets done.
Deadlines are usually made by you.
Your method of completing projects are in your control.
The keyword here is Options.
Developing Personal Projects

There’s an indescribable satisfaction that comes with designing and completing a project that makes you money.
It’s close to having a kid of your own.
You get to see it grow from start to finish.
Pick your partner
Another perk to working for yourself is picking the people you work with.
Collaboration is gonna be key to making this aspect of being independent work for you.
Creating Your Work Environments

- Strive for maintaining a clear identity
- Allow my space to be one where friendships can be made
- Have growth mixed in with the goal
- Incorporate the use of my Chromebook whenever possible
- Reflect the state of our economy or how I’d like to see it look
- Make it an area where influence can be earned
- Allow it to be a space where innovative skills could be practiced and shared with others
Opportunity for More Income

There’s so many ways to get paid.
Take into account that there’s hundreds of different industries that rely on teams to meet goals.
As businesses continue to be birthed there’s also more possibilities to earn.
Rome wasn’t built in a day and business isn’t ran by individuals.
Learning Self Discipline
It’s an under appreciated lesson that comes along with being self employed but self-discipline is one of my favorites.
I’m inept to believing I’m already familiar with the concept coming from the sport of wrestling.
Athletes in general have to show some levels of self-discipline but that’s another discussion.
Applying it to work that you’re leading alone is critical when you consider it’s up to you if your “business” succeeds or fails.
