How to sell without selling (11 of my favorite methods)

I’ll be sharing 11 of my favorite methods that I use to sell without actually selling.

How to sell without selling

  • Put your heart into it
  • Ignore the skeptics
  • Find an interesting feature
  • Understand the pain points
  • Leverage social proof
  • Share your expertise
  • Be more direct
  • Identify the top 1% of your clients
  • Provide value
  • Create an ebook
  • Focus on being likable
  • Don’t do it

Putting your heart into something

Putting your heart into something is to make a lot of effort to do whatever it is you’re doing.

It’s being wholehearted.

It’s being sincere in your efforts.

Ignoring skeptics

There’s skeptics all over the world and a majority of them are congregated around the topic of health but what about your product?

I ignore them and understand that it comes with animosity but it’s not a deterrent.

You have to understand that the show goes on regardless and toes might get stepped on but moving forward’s best.

Finding interesting features about your product

Finding interesting features about your product is doing the following:

  • Identifying your top customers wants and needs
  • Determine how these features add value to your prospects
  • Telling your audience where your product is going to take them
  • Ranking the features that matter most to your customer and business overall

Identifying your product features takes close observation on your part and studying where the value really comes in at.

The most efficient way of doing this is by actually listening to your audience.

Pain points and opportunities

Turning pain points into opportunities comes with allowing customers talk about how their problems were eliminated with your product.

If you manage a sales team then providing a map of problems prospects face and where your product comes into play makes it easy.

It’s a skill that the top business leaders have and utilize effectively when it’s time to.

Leveraging social proof in business

Leveraging social proof in business is done best through customer reviews.

It humanizes your brand and strengthens credibility that creates an invaluable amount of trust with customers.

Doing this establishes your brand as an authority in your industry.

Sharing your expertise

Sharing your expertise is important and must be done by talking about it with others.

It has to be done with confidence by taking lead and proving you’re a resource when it comes to knowledge on your product.

This also helps your colleagues and shows them that partnering with you might be in their best interest later on in the future.

Being more direct

Being direct or more straightforward is being blunt with your audience.

That’s not to say you have to be rude about your message but it’s definitely being stern and firm in your position.

It’s a core communication skill.

Take it from a communication major.

Identifying the top 1 percent of your business

Identifying the top 1% of your business makes addressing the people that matter much more personal.

It sets you apart from competitors by being able to double down on the real stakeholders of your company.

That’s not neglecting the casuals it’s simply strengthening the already strong points of what makes your business a force.

This directly influences your income and net worth as a whole.

The importance of providing value

Providing value impacts your customer loyalty and secures your existing business.

It creates worth for both you and the potential customer you’re dealing with.

This is the single thing that influences and creates leverage when it comes to justifying price with your service.

Ebooks do the selling for you

Ebooks do the selling for you because there’s countless platforms that’ll host yours and it’ll literally sell itself.

There’s people that make full-time incomes selling these with little to no effort in doing so.

The rest of the game could be placed in marketing and that only secures immediate income.

If you have an ebook that your audience enjoys then it makes presenting future products much easier to sell.

Focusing on being likeable

Being likeable is getting comfortable in your own skin and always staying true to your honest self.

If there was a goal to have with being likeable in conversations it’s to make the other person feel like and respected.

The under appreciated skills of being likeable are:

  • Displaying a personality that shows you can’t be bought
  • Assuring that your purpose is to make life easier for all involved in your interaction
  • Being genuinely interested in the people you initiate conversation with

And again that’s only to name a few.

Not selling to make sales

Focusing on emotions becomes the game when your objective is to sell without actually trying to.

It’s not about trying to convince people to do things or having a hidden agenda behind whatever it is that you’re talking about.

Enter every interaction without the intention of selling because it’s easy to spot someone trying to sell you something.
