I’ll be explaining why cleanliness is called Godliness.
Why cleanliness is called Godliness
Displacement when it comes to dirtiness is no part of religion on the positive side of the spectrum. Because of that fact alone Cleanliness is indeed next to Godliness.
Being dirty isn’t good
Sometimes a person just isn’t aware of how disgusting their living circumstances are.
Sometimes that applies to me.
It’s tough to claim accountability for because I’m someone looking forward to fatherhood and have siblings that preps me perfectly.
But here’s a lesson in parenthood from a childless person:
- Your children are learning how to care for themselves and their home through you.
I can appreciate people that are good at keeping surfaces uncluttered and mostly clean.
Personally I like keeping my hands and feet some of the cleanest areas of my body to keep it PG.
There’s a euphemistic lesson I think that relates.
When you decide to make positive changes in your life the first thing to surface is dirt.
But you can’t let the resistance to change stop you from becoming who you’re meant to be.
The problem is that there’s a skewed message to where we as a society overcomplicate what being clean means.
We’re in a culture where we take the concept of cleanliness overboard.
Did you know that there’s a hygiene hypothesis that suggests being too clean can cause a malformation of the immune system?
This can actually cause issues further down the road.
It might not be the popular thing to say but in moderation being a little dirty can actually help your health.
That’s not to tell you get dirty and throw your clean habits completely out the window.
I’m simply suggesting to heighten your awareness of your habits because remember the title again – Being dirty isn’t good
