I’ll be sharing seven points that explain why a business’s worth can be much less than real estate producing the same cashflow.
Why is a business worth so much less than real estate producing the same cashflow?
These are the reasons why businesses are worth much less than real estate that earns the same amount in cashflow:
- Businesses depend on personal management
- Businesses also depend on your time
- Real estate generally has a higher multiplier
- Real estate is less likely to drop drastically in value
- Real estate has a need that keeps the industry in high demand
- Real estate is a flex-asset
- A real estate property’s value can almost never go to zero
How does one become successful in business?
One would become successful in business by following a few simple rules:
- You have to be well organized
- Be flexible
- Be creative
- develop a knack for paying close attention to the details while never losing sight of the big picture
Being well organized in business includes addressing behavioral issues that could get in the way of your company’s successes.
That also includes managing dates for meetings or even project schedules.
Being flexible also allows businesses to respond effectively with unexpected events or crises.
When we include the creativity aspect it’s not something that’s cut and dry for business.
It’s critical thinking at its finest.
An example that I could give in this scenario is if you’re selling a homemade drink and need to create a product differential.
Your competitors use the same ingredients but you find out that customers are concerned about diabetes so you do something different.
You end up grabbing a stronger and much more potent fruit to mix with the drink in order to lower the sugar count.
Now you have a product that’s more in tune with what customers want.
And now you make more sales as a result.
Developing a better eye for detail is yet another crucial skill to have for being organized in business.
This could help in one of the aspects I like to emphasize with product differentiation.
If you can find a way to be different you’ll stand out in a good way.
But remember that we wanna keep our eye on the bigger picture.
So we can assume we wanna increase revenue and that’ll have to let our differences in products take a back seat to getting our products off in bulk.
