I’ll be explaining why some intelligent people fail to achieve their potential.
Why do some intelligent people fail to achieve their potential?
People that seen intelligent fail to reach their potential because they have a fixed mindset.
They’ll sit around all day and only wish how things were different.
These people over-analyze things most of the time.
It’s bleak to see how they’ll repeat patterns that bring negative results.
And because of those same reasons they’re rarely ever satisfied.
Why I think fixed mindsets are a setback in learning
An editor on Linked In suggested a thought that I agree with. It’s about people with fixed mindsets having beliefs that’s set in stone and can’t be changed.
Having a fixed mindset kills the opportunity for growth and makes final outcomes irrelevant.
People with a Fixed mindset believe their qualities are unchangeable. They won’t take risks. And that’s because they’re afraid of failure.
That’s not to say fixed mind setters don’t have anything to build off of because they do believe they’re capable of improvement. It’s just that they also believe there’s a ceiling to their limits as well.
They sit around all day wishing things were different.
What causes over analyzing?
Otherwise known as ‘analysis paralysis’ gives ‘over analyzing’ more than one name.
It’s actually considered to be the result of a mental health issue.
I think it’s close to an addictive situation since it involves playing a certain scenario over in your head numerous times.
It can lead to anxiety and could even be the cause of perfectionism.
