Why is it that people with hangovers seem to crave greasy foods?
Right off the bat I’d say it’s because most greasy foods are comforting.
Scientifically speaking it has to do with the high fat content of these fast foods which will coat the lining of your stomach with grease.
This prevents alcohol from being absorbed and decreases the seriousness of your hangover.
What foods should I eat following a hangover?
Generally speaking there’s good and bad foods that you’ll wanna reach for if you’re fighting a hangover.
Carb heavy foods are some of the best type you could have.
You’ll want anything that’s easy to digest.
There’s plenty of fruits and vegetables that’s rich in nutrients plus natural sugars that’ll soothe you throughout the recovery process.
It’s ideal that you choose these type of foods because they’re energy-producing and my personal recommendations are:
- Bananas
- Eggs
- Ginger
- Chicken noodle soup
- Coconut water
