I’ll be explaining why success takes so long.
Everybody wants to be it.
Most never get to experience the feeling.
Success itself is a state of being that takes commitment at least to some extent.
It may come easy and it might be something that takes more work at becoming over others.
But we’re gonna move on to the question at hand.
Why does success take so long?
Success takes long because when you’re working towards your goal it can take experimenting to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Often it takes the following to make it happen:
- More self belief
- Doing more high value tasks
- Getting used to not being sure of the outcome
- More time
- Energy
- Consistency
- Focus
- Constantly seeking improvement

Final thoughts
So these are the reasons success takes a while for most again:
- Lack of self belief
- Not doing enough high value tasks
- Shying away from uncertainty
- Lack of time
- Lack of energy
- Lack of consistency
- Needing more focus
There’s a fair amount of trial and error that has to be conducted in order to give yourself a chance.
Also!
There’s a story involving Walt Disney that I felt captured the essence of this message.
To summarize everything it goes this way.
It took him over 20 years of hard work before Disney became what it’s known to be today.
Add in the fact that he had to move numerous places and included a few career changes.
The same could apply to anybody else that feels stuck or forced committing to a specific focus in order to be successful.
