Why is Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts? (Open discussion)

I wanted to know why Sephiroth is in Kingdom Hearts.

I was legitimately stuck on that boss battle in the game and that frustrated me so much to the point I gave up on beating it myself.

Why is Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts?

I’ll be honest in admitting that I wasn’t even aware of how much influence the game Final Fantasy had in Kingdom Hearts 1. Specifically Final Fantasy 7. Or even what it was.

I quickly found out though that Sephiroth wasn’t someone to sleep on and his relationship with Cloud. It didn’t happen though until I reached the Coliseum world for Hercules. It was one of the first times I ever got stuck in a game and led me to ask why Sephiroth is even in this game.
