Why are apps used to do things most consider basic? (4 Well Made Points Why)

I’ll be explaining why apps are used to do things most consider basic.

Why are apps used to do things most consider basic

If you’re wondering why apps are used to do things most consider basic then you’ve probably had that question stem from witnessing an iPhone user whether it’s yourself or someone else. But with the way most apps are designed they feel natural, more natural than using a website. And when you consider we do so much on our smartphones it only makes sense.

  • Apps feel natural
  • You might own an iphone

What makes apps better than websites?

Apps are generally seen as better than websites because they provide freedom to the users.

In a world where we seem to have to be connected to the internet to use anything THAT restriction can get put to rest with a mobile app.

Next is the brand recognition.

An app becomes a recognizable stamp that can help define the identity of a company.

You see whatever icon or color that’s attached to a name and there becomes a good chance you’ll remember it for a while.

Another aspect is usually up to the development team behind the app, but it ideally becomes a fun user experience that brings visitors back.

Let’s continue with yet another thing that makes mobile apps more fun is the instantaneous aspect of being updated.

When there’s something new that drops on the site it’ll go straight to your mobile device with the app.

It’s just yet another thing that makes them great.

And lastly is the customizable feature!

That can be anything from changing the interface or even something as small as the light and dark mode.

It’s the little things sometimes that make a difference.

Why are we addicted to our phones?

We’re addicted to our smartphones for a few good reasons.

The obvious that I’m choosing to state is most of it’s gonna deal with science.

Our first explanation for this discovery is that our brains release a chemical called dopamine.

What dopamine does is function as a reward center.

In relation to apps there’s something that we search for on an app that it provides us every time we open it.

What this does is create a habit, and depending on your goal it can make or break you.

One of the most popular reasons we get on these apps are for social interaction of some sort.

It’s reasonable considering that we’re such social creatures.

But same as I mentioned, our habits can either serve us or ‘burn us’

You can imagine that we would wanna eventually limit our time on these apps depending on our situation.

If you want a solid piece of advice to work on that area maybe consider setting a timer for a few of your apps.

I did it for a while and it did great for my mentality (as well as my relationship with social media in general).

Final thoughts

Apps are becoming the new paper and pencil!

They’re doing the most basic things and it’s with intentions to make our lives easier so it’s best to embrace them.
