Penguins live in Antarctica because they made their way further down south. To be specific the breed of penguin that lives out there are the Adélie penguins. The penguins that are exclusive to that region (specifically being the southern hemisphere) have a few interesting facts that make them unique. One of the most intriguing is being them evolving from being a certain way during the Cretaceous period.
