Why are Disney Characters in Kingdom Hearts?

Characters of Kingdom Hearts

I’m gonna start off with discussing the real story in Kingdom Hearts.

That’s Sora and Kairi of course.

Disney in general would be considered a secondary piece of the greater puzzle that makes up Kingdom Hearts.

Sora’s easily considered the nucleus in everything because everything starts with him since KH1.

He’s easily relatable if you were someone that was a student before and had to study.

That’s a scenario that applies to Sora when learning everything about Kingdom Hearts and his role with saving an entire universe.

Sora and his role in the Kingdom Hearts universe was something that expanded from being an islander from Destiny Islands.

The Square Enix aspect comes from including Final Fantasy characters in their story and even developing original people to the story.

It’s fair to say that it’s anyone favoring humans in the story.

Why is there Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts?

It was to add characters that would hopefully rival the popularity of the Disney characters added in the game.

Why was Mickey barely in KH1?

It was a restriction placed by Disney.

They didn’t want Mickey to be used in the game but eventually conceded and allowed him to be put in it because it was a very minor detail for him to be added in the final scenes.

Why is Max not in Kingdom Hearts?

He’s never appeared in the games for a reason that seems very likely, that reason being the game developers have historically been known to not show much love to the Mickey Mouse gang.

It’s clear from the lack of representation with other characters that could’ve been gems in the game.

What is the hardest boss in Kingdom Hearts history?

I wanna say Sephiroth off rip but that just might not be true.

Final thoughts

I did this post because I’m a fan of the Kingdom Hearts games.

My favorite hands down is KH 2.

This was something that plenty of fans wanted to know, and I found it kind of weird.

I mean almost every world in the game is based around a classic Disney story.

You got Hercules, Aladdin, Nightmare Before Christmas, Little Mermaid, Winnie The Pooh; the list goes on.

But I also forget that the Disney roster is huge so as many as they do have in the game there’s also plenty that’s missing as well.

It explains some of the things that could’ve went overlooked though.

I liked the point about Max being left out of the game, and that’s coming from someone that liked the Goofy movies.

But I’m sure there’s gonna be plenty more to talk about with this game.
