It could make the difference in performing optimally.
“Why should you care about this” you might ask and the answer’s simple.
If you want to be average (at minimum) in the sport then you’re gonna want to give yourself a chance to have an equal opportunity to do so.
Depending on where you’re at in your experience with the sport you may or might not have come across the scenario of having to make weight.
My moments with it deserves a book in itself but to keep things easy it’s in your best interest to have a grip on nutrition.
I’m past my competition days for educational programs but I’ve learned plenty that could be shared with wrestlers that have to make weight for their team.
Instead of trying to lecture you on what you could easily learn from your coach when it comes to making weight, I’d rather share some of my eating habits.
Inadvertently the nutrition lessons might end up being a few of my favorite recipes since I have an affinity for cooking.
Here’s a few of the basics that you can make sure to keep handy if you decide to cook as well and take a proactive approach to your eating habits:
- Cooking oils
- Vegetables
- Fruits
- Snacks
- Spices
- Dishware
- Drinking containers
Again this only scratches the surface of things but it’ll leave a mark if used correctly.
