Why Cartoon Network is better than Nickelodeon
Cartoon Network’s better than Nickelodeon because it has:
- better animation for its shows
- more cultural impact
- arguably one of the best late-night programming schedules of all time
Top 5 Most Popular Cartoon Network Shows
The Cartoon Network shows that I would say are the greatest of all time are:
Dexter’s Laboratory
Ed Edd n Eddy
Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends
Courage The Cowardly Dog
Regular Show
Those reasons alone makes it a winner for me when I compare the 2.
Cultural impact
When we look at impact on culture again I have to go with Cartoon Network on this one.
I could however see someone make a case for a couple shows that could carry Nickelodeon in this category.
Maybe Rugrats and SpongeBob would make sense in this debate but again, there’s more shows in CN that come to mind.
Late-Night Programming
This hands down goes to Cartoon Network!
Toonami and Adult Swim was the game changer for so many households.
It could be argued that it helped we 90s babies transition into adulthood smoothly.
Of course saying it was a smooth process is subjective but generally speaking that’s what I would say.
Plain and simply put, the late night shows on Nick were trash!
I mean they tried with a few shows on Nick @ Nite but it couldn’t size up with either program’s lineup.
