It’s unique plot and action sequences are without some of the best that anime can offer.

A few of my personal favorite reasons to justify this claim are:

• The characters are written pretty well
• There’s never really one main character with how the interactions are made
• The villains are relatable and believable
• The unpredictability
• The arcs transition to the next nicely
• It’s focused in its storytelling (despite the impactful emotions)
• Serious moments can sometimes have humor to make it not take itself too seriously
• The worlds are vast
• Cool animation

What makes the plot for hunter x hunter different from other anime?

Yoshihiro Togashi (the creator of the manga) seemed to have a very particular set of lessons he wanted to teach when making the story for this anime (and manga).

There’s a lot of philosophical lessons that seem to go with each character in the story.

When we meet Gon from the very start there becomes an intrigue with the other characters he interacts with.

Kurapika, Leorio, Killua, the list goes on as the story progresses.

It raises the bar when it comes to telling a good story with anime, I’d even go as far to say that it explains how to tell numerous in a single title.

I’m someone who can appreciate a good anthology series so when I break down what I really appreciate this anime for it becomes humbling.
