Why did WWE change the elimination chamber? (Explained)

I’ll be explaining why the WWE changed the Elimination Chamber.

Why did WWE change the elimination chamber?

Elimination Chamber matches can’t be held at several arenas.

There’s size and weight issues that affect the structure’s ability to be transported.

Impractical Arenas to Transfer

The setup of the Elimination Chamber makes it an extremely difficult arena to transfer.

To give you context it’s a ring with a large chain-linked structure that surrounds the setup.

It’s one of several premiere international PPV events in the WWE with special guests in a fight where it’s one man left standing.

FAQs

Why is Elimination Chamber called no escape in Germany?

There’s actually a consideration that the WWE took in observing that it would be offensive with the history of the Holocaust.

That’s right, World War 2 was the reason that the name was changed for the famed event.

This keeps fans happy worldwide when promoting such a big event with a name that could hit home a little too hard for audiences in Germany.

What does the elimination chamber winner get?

  • The Number-one contender consideration for the WWE Championship
  • World Heavyweight Championship
  • WWE Universal Championship
  • Raw Women’s Championship

Why was Bobby Lashley taken out of Elimination Chamber?

It was actually done in direct relation to the decision made with Brock Lesnar.

Because they were the matchup intended to happen and Lesnar couldn’t complete his part Lashley earned the DQ win.

Final thoughts

I used to watch the WWE for a little bit and found one of their events trending for myself on Twitter.

It actually inspired me to make a quick freestyle to share:

How the New WWE Elimination Chamber Design Compares to the Old One

At the top of the chamber at its center which is now 26 ft (7.9 m) tall is a large cutout of the WWE logo.

This is different from the original design of being 10 tons, 16 feet tall and 36 feet in diameter.

The original structure was a nightmare to set up and transport so this new build is an improvement in that area.
