Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.
There’s not a whole lot of traditions I follow with my family growing up. Just the usual get togethers for either holidays or national events (Super Bowl, NCAA Championships, Olympics, etc.). I can however paint the picture of what I plan on doing with my future family when I get it started:
- Yearly camping trips
- Amusement parks
- Listening parties
- Possible game nights
Those are just a few of the things that come to mind but I’m sure I’ll get a second opinion that I’ll follow from the powers that need be.
That’s all.
What makes camping fun?
For me there’s so many things to pick from:
- Fishing
- Hiking
- Grilling
- Campfire activities
Just the ambiance of being close with nature and relying on your survival instincts to enjoy your time is attractive to me.
I did it when I was younger with an afterschool program I was part of and I haven’t done it since.
But this prompt kinda lit a fire of nostalgia when it comes to the good times I had doing it.
Being out miles from the city with a few of your friends goofing off and exploring the unknown was a great feeling.
I feel confident about doing it again in the future because I have ways I would improve it from how I experienced it as a kid.
For sure it’ll be different since I’m an adult and would be running a good majority of the trip (at least I would imagine).
Whats your favorite amusement park?
My favorite so far is the dells out here in Wisconsin.
Granted, I haven’t been to Disney or Universal yet I’ve still been to some high quality places.
Wisconsin Dells however has everything I like so far:
- Plenty of water parks
- Restaurants
- Arcades
- Live shows
- Museums
There’s just so much to do there for families of all kinds.
I’d even go there alone, but where’s the fun in that?
Every time I went I had parties of at least 4 or more.
And the people made the time spent there even more fun.
It’s just an experience you have to try for yourself to fully appreciate.
The hotels that’s connected to the water parks are usually top tier with amenities that only enhance everything.
I recommend Great Wolf Lodge or even Noah’s Ark if you wanna say you’ve been to some of the best they have to offer.
They all seem connected even though it’s scattered throughout the entire city.
My Type of Listening Party (Family edition)
As you may know, I make my own music.
I’m going on my second solid year of taking it seriously and I’m feeling confident that it’s gonna reach new heights really soon.
My bars, cadence, beat selection, presence and all of the things it entails.
Of course I’ll be having sessions that family won’t be at (at least that’s what I’m guessing) but I really like to make fun out of the projects I do.
So I’d probably have a private party exclusive for family, ideally with themes that we all could look forward to.
I wouldn’t force it but if it’s something they openly enjoy then I’d make it a traditional thing that we would be excited for.
Just a thought.
My idea of a perfect family game night
Continuing a family tradition that I see being the group favorite, maybe even my personal favorite is game night.
It’s nothing special (or original for that matter) but it’s something I could see myself making a good time for all involved.
I picture it being a family thing but could also see it getting extended to friends as well.
It doesn’t matter that much to me but the activities gotta be on point.
That means including the all-time great games:
- Charades
- Uno
- Trivia
- Monopoly
That’s only to name a few but in totality that’s the vision.
Final thoughts
So this was supposed to be about my family traditions but I guess it got spun a bit to how I’m running my own family tradition.
It was fun being able break this down and do a little dream building for the future.
Hopefully I’ll have access to this by the time it’s needed to start preparing but we’ll see.
