It’s AJ, and this is my commercialized blog site, where I can share my lifestyle interests and provide thoughtful insights on topics worth discussing.

If you could un-invent something, what would it be?

Chewing gum.

It’s something about the texture and witnessing other people’s unfortunate situations played a role in my desire to un-invent it. Of course there was also moments in Hunter x Hunter where Hisoka’s use of Bungee Gum that could’ve played a role too, but I digress.

What is it about the texture of chewing gum that’s gross?

After about 2 minutes of chewing it turns to (as a Reddit user’s post puts perfectly) a…

“wet ball of slime”

I feel a little weird myself openly speaking out against a popular snack but it’s just disgusting to me.

I’ll rarely come across a good memory involving it…

It feels okay as I continue talking about this because it could be applied to money (considering the market’s sales dropped in 2008).

And specifically to the UK their profits went down 8%!

There’s just been too many times where I’ve witnessed people have the following happen:

  • Stick their hair together
  • Be forced to use it to cut weight*
  • Get it stuck under their shoe

I have the habit of grinding my teeth together at times.

Sometimes gently bite on the inside of my cheek but I’ve been able to curb that chewing desire by having black tea.

What is the bungee gum?

Bungee Gum is the technique used by Hisoka in the anime Hunter x Hunter…

It has what you could probably guess the properties of rubber and gum.

He’s used it to stop projectiles sent his way, constrict his opponent and hold pieces together.

There’s nothing wrong with the move itself, it’s actually very useful and it’s proven multiple times in the show.

It was used in the Heaven’s Arena Arc and Greed Island Arc as well.

I could be biased because of my feelings about gum in general when it comes to this assessment but these are facts.

It just felt like an appropriate reference to the topic.
