The best Dragon Ball Z Fights have plenty of back and forth action sequences.

They range from several different arcs and have many memorable moments. 

I have a few of my favorites that came from the Android and Cell Saga.

Think about some of the most iconic fighters in the series and chances are you can recall an exciting fight.

Goku and Perfect Cell, Goku and Vegeta, Piccolo and 17—the list goes on.

It’s one the best things about each new game that would be released when I was more active in the community—fighting as the warrior you’re sure’s a problem.

Things really started to pick up when the Budokai series was released.

My pick for best fight in the whole Dragon Ball Franchise

Goku vs Majin Vegeta

Goku vs Majin Vegeta

This is a fight between 2 characters that we believe up to this point are the strongest fighters in the show at this point.

It takes place in the Babidi Saga.

Goku and a mind controlled Vegeta engage in a 4 episode battle.

Both of the fighters are in super Saiyan 2 form throughout the encounter.

He first arrives to earth with the assistance of another warrior called Nappa.

They both appear to be the strongest fighters we’ve seen yet.

That is until Goku proves himself worthy of fighting against a Saiyan proves his level of separation when encountering Nappa.

This is at the point in time now where Goku is able to reach Kaioken level.

This fight was a test for Goku that he proved to be capable of handling.

The next fight is Goku vs Frieza

This fight brought us one of the most iconic transformations in all of anime. Seeing a super Saiyan for the first time was legendary when this story first released.

Gohan vs Cell

Gohan vs Cell was another iconic fight in all of DragonBall. The thing that made this moment so legendary was the fact that it pushed Gohan to achieve super Saiyan 2 which was more than enough to defeat Cell. It almost seemed foolish for Goku to allow the fate of the earth to be put in his son’s hands but then the fight finally happened.

Gohan vs Android 17 and 18

This was a sad ending in the DBZ storyline. It plays through a different timeline but it happens in future trunk’s past. There ends up being a fight for territory when Gohan who only has one arm against both of the androids. It feels a little bad to admit but it was really a one-sided fight between Gohan and the androids, he was in a fight for survival with them.

Super Saiyan 3 Goku vs Majin Buu

This is a fight that happens in the Majin Saga after Majin Buu is finally summoned and is in destruction mode. The earth is bought time after Goku appears and this time with a new transformation known as Super Saiyan 3.
