I’ll be explaining why it takes so long for starter sites to transfer on purchased domains.

Why it takes so long for starter sites to transfer on purchased domains

It traditionally takes anywhere from 5-10 days as a confirmation that your site is going to a trusted name. Depending on the extension it could impact time. Domain transfers usually happen when you want to run an existing site on another host site. It’s an agreement that you’re setting up between your current provider and your new business partner.

Extension names impacting transfer time

Depending on if you have a .com or .org will make a difference in if you’re waiting hours or days for a transfer. It’s possible that you’ll receive a confirmation email explaining the process.

This was a useful guide provided by Verpex. It’s good to have a key on hand to understand your rights as a site owner.

Why is it 5-7 days?

It’s the standard time that most companies ask for when it comes to domain transfers.

There’s nothing that can be done to speed things up.

Most of the time domain transfers are done in speedy time frames regardless of who you go through.

Hi – Just to ensure that I am not wasting time is there any way to check what is causing the delay in linking my Domain to my WordPress website. At the moment is just says pending under SSL and that the site is active, apart from that when I try and transfer my domain it just says it is not transferrable. The domain is Culturecatalystconsulting.io
